Practising in Ballarat

What you need to know about becoming a practising veterinarian in Australia

Registration Information

If you’re interested in practising as a certified veterinarian in Australia, there are a few boxes you will need to tick before you can begin working down under. Your number one top priority, of course, is your visa, followed by registration in order to be able to legally work as a vet in the state of Victoria, where Ballarat Veterinary Practice and Eureka Veterinary Hospital are located. Even if you have been operating as a veterinary practitioner in your home country prior to your departure, you cannot immediately start work here without first registering with the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria. Our friendly staff will be available to help you with the registration process.
